Week 13 NFL Picks

I apologize for not posting our Week 12 picks. I was not able to do so as I had some family issues to deal with, but we are back this week! The standings are getting tighter and tighter each week!

Ismael 92-52
Nick 91-53

Washington Redskins vs. Dallas Cowboys

The Cowboys have looked downright awful since Ezekiel Elliott has been suspended. Dak Prescott has looked like a FRAUD and their defense has not been very good either. Kirk Cousins did not play great in his first matchup this year against the Cowboys, but I expect him to bounce back in this one.

Score: Redskins 31, Cowboys 24

Let’s just face it, the Cowboys aren’t as good as we thought they were, especially having loss the last 3 games by a combined 70 points! The Redskins won an ugly game to Giants on Thanksgiving last week, but have been competitive since losing to the Cowboys at home back in Week 8. It’s Week 13 now and both teams don’t really have much to play for besides bragging rights. Except for that damp Week 8 game, Kirk Cousins has had a lot of success against the Cowboys over the last couple of years. The Cowboys are looking bad on all fronts whether it’s in the passing game, the running game, on defense with their secondary. At least the Redskins can say that they’ve competed even with a depleted roster. Redskins should win this on TNF.

Score: Redskins 28, Cowboys 23

Kansas City Chiefs vs. New York Jets

SHOOTOUT ALERT!!!! Yes, I expect this game to be high-scoring. The Chiefs’ offense has been struggling lately, but they are going to break out eventually. This is the game they do so. Alex Smith knows Patrick Mahomes is breathing down his neck, but he will step up big time this week. Josh McCown should have a big game as well. The McCown-Robby Anderson connection has been on fire the past 4-5 weeks or so.

Score: Chiefs 33, Jets 30

Is there a team that has looked as ugly as the Cowboys have in recent weeks? Yes, they’re called the Kansas City Chiefs. After starting the season 5-0, they have gone 1-5 since with losing the last three games against the Cowboys, Giants, and Bills. Teams we thought were inferior to the Chiefs throughout half the season. Their offensive line have been bad and the play-calling hasn’t helped them either. The Jets lost a tough one at home against the Panthers a week ago, but 3 of their 4 games at home this year. The Chiefs brought in longtime Jet Darelle Revis into their secondary, but I think Robby Anderson has been almost unstoppable at times for the Jets. I’m calling for an upset here, the Chiefs have just been a complete mess.

Score: Jets 24, Chiefs 21

Minnesota Vikings vs. Atlanta Falcons

The Vikings were able to stop a hot, high-scoring offense when they faced the Rams. Can they have a repeat effort against the Falcons? Case Keenum is having an outstanding season for the Vikings as he has led them to one of the best records in the NFL. The Falcons pass defense has been very good this year, but their rush defense has been mediocre. If they want success this week they are going to have to stop Latavius Murray and Jerick McKinnon. The Vikings have won seven in a row, but that streak ends this week.

Score: Falcons 24, Vikings 21

Another tough one to judge. The Vikings have won 7 in a row while the Falcons have won 4 of their last 5. Case Keenum has been on fire recently and I’m not sure not even the Falcons can stop him. I also the like the Vikings better defensively here, and I really doubt Julio Jones will have as big of a game he had last week. The Vikings are proving people wrong this year, and a win will further make people take them as serious super bowl favorites.

Score: Vikings 27, Falcons 24

Detroit Lions vs. Baltimore Ravens

Matthew Stafford IS the Lions’ offense. The Lions have not been able to run the ball for years now. The Ravens defense is phenomenal, but they are open to being beat by the run. Bad news for the Lions. Another disadvantage is the Lions have to travel to Baltimore for this one. If the Ravens can find just a little bit of a groove on the offensive end then they will find success in this game. I’m looking at you Danny Woodhead.

Score: Ravens 20, Lions 17

This is a tough one to call. The Lions were topped at home on Thanksgiving last week against the Vikings while the Ravens won a low-scoring game against the Texans last Monday night. The Lions have a better record on the road this year than at home being 4-1 away from Detroit and 2-4 in Detroit. Marvin Jones Jr. scorched one of the best corner’s in the league in Xavier Rhodes last week, and should draw Baltimore’s best corner in this one meaning someone like Golden Tate might see more action. I just trust the Lions more to put up points and not look all that shaky on offense. Lions win a tight one.

Score: Lions 23, Ravens 21

New England Patriots vs. Buffalo Bills

Remember when everyone was panicking about the Patriots in the first four weeks of the season? HA, FOOLS! Do not ever doubt the brilliance of Bill Belichick. During their seven game winning streak, the Pats have held opponents to 17 points or less. They have found their groove. I do not seen Tyrod Taylor and the Bills being able to end the Pats winning streak this week, especially with Kelvin Benjamin ruled out.

Score: Patriots 27, Bills 17

The Pats’ offense have just been merciless this year, scoring more than 21 points since Week 6 and more than 33 points in the last 3 games. The Bills beat the Chiefs last week, but it wasn’t pretty. The Chiefs are just bad, not giving credit to the Bills’ defense. They have been one of the worst run defenses in the league this year which will help the dual-threat in Dion Lewis and Rex Burkhead to flourish this week. This might be a trap game for the Pats since they just love to drop a random game against a team in their division, but they’re rolling and they would like to keep up with the Steelers before their match-up in a couple weeks.

Score: Patriots 33, Bills 21

San Francisco 49ers vs. Chicago Bears

The Jimmy G era in San Francisco has begun. The Bears are a bad team, as are the 49ers. This is going to be the ugliest game of the week by far. However, I expect Jimmy to sprinkle some magic and spark into this Niners team and lead them to victory.

Score: 49ers 23, Bears 21

The Jimmy Garroppolo era begins! Well technically it started last week when he came in late into last weeks game against the Seahawks and threw a quick TD. He’s got a tough test though, facing the Bears on the road and in frigid weather. I think he’ll perform fairly well, but it’s his defense letting down in the end. I see Jordan Howard having a big game for the Bears, being enough to beat the Niners. I’m keeping this game close because of how shaky the Bears’ offense has looked over the past few weeks. Look at Dontrelle Inman in DFS games.

Score: Bears 24, 49ers 17

Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Green Bay Packers

Jameis Winston returns this week for the Bucs, who actually were playing good football before last week’s game against the Falcons. Ty Montgomery has been ruled out for the Packers and they are thin all around the field. Playing at Lambo is never easy, but this is not the Packers team that you expect to see on the field week in and week out.

Score: Buccaneers 30, Packers 23

Brett Hundley finally had a break-out game last week against the Steelers, but did it in a losing effort. I can see him torching the Bucs secondary here with Davante Adams on his side, especially after the Bucs gave up more than 200 yards through the air to Julio Jones last week. Finally getting the hang of things, being at home, and with the possibility of Aaron Rodgers returning this year I think Hundley will make the most out of his opportunities and will try to bring the Packers to a good place if Rodgers does return.

Score: Packers 27, Buccaneers 23

Indianapolis Colts vs. Jacksonville Jaguars

The first time these two teams played it was an ugly one as the Jags shutout the Colts 27-0. That was 6 weeks ago, but nothing has changed for either side since. The Jags should dominate a porous Colts’ offensive line in route to a dominant victory.

Score: Jaguars 23, Colts 10

Jags at home against a shaky offense, wonder what will happen? Good things will happen, at least for Jaguars it will. Their great defense will shut-down the limited options the Colts have on offense and the Jags own offense will take advantage of a depleted Colts D. Look at Dede Westbrook as a sleeper in DFS.

Score: Jaguars 27, Colts 13

Denver Broncos vs. Miami Dolphins

These two teams should just be happy we have a Bears/49ers matchup this week because these two teams SUCK. The Broncos have a big, big problem at the QB position, while the Dolphins are starting Jay Cutler. LOL. This is going to be an ugly, low-scoring game. The better defense will win this game. That’s good news for the Broncos.

Score: Broncos 17, Dolphins 14

Ugh, I cringe at the thought of this game. Broncos have shuffled through 3 QBs and are back to their Week 1 starter in Trevor Siemian. I’ll keep this short though. The Dolphins in my opinion have been playing like an overall better team. They’re at home and at least haven’t looked as bad in their 5 game losing streak as the Broncos have in their 7 game losing streak.

Score: Dolphins 22, Broncos 16

Houston Texans vs. Tennessee Titans

It does not matter who is at QB or who the Texans are playing, DeAndre Hopkins cannot be stopped. I expect a big game from him against a poor Titans’ defense, but that is where it ends for the Texans. The Titans are the better team while the Texans are without J.J. Watt and Deshaun Watson.

Score: Titans 27, Texans 20

Outside of really Delanie Walker from Tennessee and DeAndre Hopkins from Houston, both of these teams haven’t done much on offense lately. I think if you match-up the Texans with at least a decent defense now, it won’t look pretty. I think this whole game may not be pretty, but the Titans should take this one at home.

Score: Titans 26, Texans 21

New York Giants vs. Oakland Raiders

I’m in full “Fuck the Giants” mode after the benching of Eli Manning. It’s disgusting the way this organization has handled the situation. Geno Smith is the starter this week against the Raiders. Wow, just wow. The Raiders should stomp all over the Giants this week, but I actually expect Smith to have a big game this week before he goes back to being Geno Smith in week 14.

Score: Raiders 33, Giants 27

The Giants made the biggest mistake they could ever make by benching probable future hall of famer Eli Manning in favor of Geno Smith. Having said that, you had me at Geno Smith. He’s just bad and I expect rookie Davis Webb to get some time in the near future. Then with the Raiders, they lost Michael Crabtree to suspension and look to be losing Amari Cooper to injury. So they’re limited in their receiving corps, but they shouldn’t have much of a problem this week. This will be a low-scoring, ugly game going to the home team.

Score: Raiders 19, Giants 14

Cleveland Browns vs. Los Angeles Chargers

Philip Rivers lit up the Cowboys on Thanksgiving Day. Keenan Allen has finally found his stride. Maybe next week Browns .. Probably not, though.

Score: Chargers 28, Browns 13

You had me at Browns. On the road against a hot Chargers team lead by Philip Rivers, Melvin Gordon, and Keenan Allen, I don’t see this one being close. Browns got their one and only win last year against the Chargers last year, but this is a much different Chargers team they’re facing this year.

Score: Chargers 30, Browns 14

Carolina Panthers vs. New Orleans Saints

The Panthers looked like frauds last week when they allowed the Jets to put up 27 points against them. The four game suspension of Charles Johnson does not help their case. The Saints got beat by a good Rams team last week, but I expect them to bounce back at home against the Panthers. They just have too many weapons.

Score: Saints 27, Panthers 23

This should be a good one, with both teams tied with an 8-3 record at the top of the AFC South. The Saints were not phased in their last match-up against the Panthers on the road, so being at home should give them a leg-up this week. Alvin Kamara is a beast and I cannot emphasize that enough. Although the Panthers have allowed the 3rd fewest yards per game on the ground, there’s nothing that can stop Kamara now. I’ll take the Saints at home in this division match-up.

Score: Saints 28, Panthers 24

Los Angeles Rams vs. Arizona Cardinals

The Rams have one of the best offensive units in football even without Robert Woods. The Cardinals have been struggling against the pass this year as they currently rank 19th in passing yards allowed per game. They are also letting up the 25th most points per game. That is not a recipe for success against the second highest scoring offense in football.

Score: Rams 35, Cardinals 21

Rams won a close won at home against the Saints a week ago while the Cardinals shocked the Jaguars at home. Rams are just better at almost every facet in the game than the Cards, and looked pretty good in their match-up earlier this past season. Who cares if they’re on the road, Rams are just too good.

Score: Rams 28, Cardinals 17

Philadelphia Eagles vs. Seattle Seahawks

The Eagles have the best record in football and they look like the best team in the NFC right now. I’m still not sold. The Eagles have only played two teams so far this year who currently have a record over .500, the Panthers and Chiefs. They lost to the Chiefs in week 2, but beat the Panthers in week 6. This is their first true test in seven weeks and maybe their toughest test of the season. If Carson Wentz can lead the Eagles to victory in this one then he is my MVP front runner and I am officially sold on the Eagles.

Score: Seahawks 23, Eagles 21

A great test for the Eagles here, facing the Seahawks and the Legion of Boom on Sunday night football. But like I said in the Rams/Cards game, who cares if they’re on the road, they’re just too good. They’ll have to really scrap and grind for this win, but I expect them to past this test.

Score: Eagles 24, Seahawks 21

Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Cincinnati Bengals

The Bengals have won three of their last five, while the Steelers are on a six game winning streak. Two teams playing some good football. The Steelers have won five straight games against the Bengals, but division games are always hard to predict as it seems players have a little extra energy for them. Ben Roethlisberger has stepped it up after a slow start. During the Steelers six game winning streak, Big Ben has thrown for 1,679 yards and 14 touchdowns with only 4 interceptions. The Steelers dominated the Bengals in week 7, but the Bengals are playing  better football since then.

Score: Steelers 24, Bengals 23

Antonio Brown is not someone any opposing secondary wants to face, but sadly for Bengals they have to go against him on Monday night. He should get more get more help this week against a top 5 defense in lowest yards allowed through the air per game, with Juju Smith-Schuster back to space the field out more. Unless you put them against a bad defense, the Bengals’ offense is just not a pretty sight. Steelers should take this one against a division rival, even on the road.

Score: Steelers 24, Bengals 16

Week 11 NFL Picks

Ismael 83-47
Nick 81-49

Tennessee Titans vs. Pittsburgh Steelers

After slow starts to the season for both teams, they have each won four games in a row. The spread on this game is -7 in favor of the Steelers, which shocks me as I think this game will be closer than that. The Steelers’ defense is the reason for their success this season and I think that will continue tonight. On the other hand, the Titans have struggled against the pass a bit this season and I think Ben Roethlisberger has his biggest game of the year on TNF.

Score: Steelers 24, Titans 20

Finally, order was restored last week on TNF as the Seahawks, the better team, beat the Cardinals on the road. Now we have two division leading teams squaring off, despite some inconsistent play from both of their QBs. Titans tried to beef up their secondary in the last off-season, and they got better but still aren’t that great which WRs like Antonio Brown and Juju Smith-Schuster will take advantage of. With all the unpredictable things that happen on TNF, think it’s wise to pick the better team at home here.

Score: Steelers 27, Titans 20

Kansas City Chiefs vs. New York Giants

This is the first time since 1998 that the Giants are a double-digit underdog at home. That is how bad their season has been. They gave zero effort last week against a bad 49ers team. The 49ers are currently 26th in football in points scored per game and they dropped 31 on the Giants. The Chiefs are scoring 28.1 points per game. Yeah, this one is going to get ugly fast.

Score: Chiefs 42, Giants 23

I said last week that the Giants were better than a 49ers, which should bring them a victory, and then they lost. They have completely given up and a game against the Chiefs will show just that. I expect Alex Smith, Travis Kelce, Kareem Hunt, and Tyreek Hill all to have monster games here.

Score: Chiefs 33, Giants 20

Detroit Lions vs. Chicago Bears

The Lions looked like contenders, then lost 3 in a row, and now have won back-to-back games. They will be facing a good Chicago defense this week, which may cause them some problems as the Browns’ D did to start last week’s game. However, the Bears’ offense, led by Mitch Trubisky, is almost non-existent.

Score: Lions 23, Bears 14

The Lions won last week against the Browns but not without giving up more than 20 points while the Bears lost at home to the Pack. The Lions in my opinion are a superior offense in comparison to the Bears despite Chicago boasting a good defense this year. Lions need to start making up some ground if they want to reach the playoffs, and a win here could do just that.

Score: Lions 24, Bears 20

Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Cleveland Browns

The Jaguars squeaked out a win in overtime last week against the Chargers on a field goal that was blocked, but went through the uprights. Talk about lucky. The Browns will be getting back Corey Coleman this week, but their offense will struggle MIGHTILY against one of the best defenses in football. Good luck DeShone Kizer, you’ll need it.

Score: Jaguars 20, Browns 7

This might seem like a trap game, with the Jags needing OT to win last week against the Chargers and with the Browns desperate to get a win at home this week. Jacksonville’s defense is just too good to allow many points and will keep the Browns off the field. If no one’s noticed, the Browns run defense has been pretty good so with Fournette having a down game last week, the jags might need to rely on Blake Bortles more to make some plays. I think he does just think against a putrid Browns pass defense and they grab a win in Cleveland.

Score: Jaguars 30, Browns 14

Baltimore Ravens vs. Green Bay Packers

Brett Hundley did his best Aaron Rodgers impression on a late touchdown pass on the run to Davante Adams last week. They are going up against a Ravens’ defense that is 3rd in the league in passing yards allowed per game. On the other hand, the Ravens are letting up 125.9 rushing yards per game, which ranks at 28th in the league. The bad news for the Packers, they are already without RB Aaron Jones and may be without RB Ty Montgomery. The Ravens offense is abysmal, so I think this will be a low-scoring affair.

Score: Ravens 17, Packers 13

This here is a toss-up. You have the Ravens fresh off a bye week and the Packers returning home after beating the Bears in Chicago. For me this more hangs off the balance of if Ty Montgomery can suit up to play, as the Ravens are in the bottom 5 in rushing yards allowed per game this season. It looks like it’ll be a game-time decision, so I’m banking on that he sits and forces Brett Hundley to go against that vaunted pass defense who has given up the 3rd fewest passing yard per game this season. The Ravens have struggled away from home this year, but with the Packers limited in options I can see them leaving Lambeau with a W.

Score: Ravens 20, Packers 17

Arizona Cardinals vs. Houston Texans

Two teams who are struggling and decimated by injuries. Neither defense is playing very good, but both offenses are without key players. The Cardinals may be starting third string QB Blaine Gabbert this week and there is your disadvantage.

Score: Texans 28, Cardinals 20

This is an ugly pone, with Drew Stanton and the Cards facing against Tom Savage and the Texans. The Cards offense looked fairly decent last weeks against Seattle while it seems like its just DeAndre Hopkins doing anything for the Texans. Houston’s secondary is inferior to that of the Cards secondary lead by Patrick Peterson in my opinion, so Larry Fitzgerald should have a big game this week. Cards win by a field goal.

Score: Cardinals 24, Texans 21

Los Angeles Rams vs. Minnesota Vikings

The Vikings have been using their third string QB for almost the whole season and they are 7-2. The Rams were one of the worst teams in football last year and they are 7-2 with the highest scoring offense in the league. Are there any bigger surprises in football? This is going to be a great game to watch. A dynamic offense going up against a tough defense. The advantage lies with the Rams’ passing defense stepping it up over the past few games.

Score: Rams 31, Vikings 28

A game between two 7-2 teams, this should be good. I believe I said last week that Jared Goff and Robert Woods had this special connection that would lead both of them going off last week and they did just that against the Texans. Do they replicate that this week? Short answer is no, a longer answer is that they’ll each still have decent games but it’s hard to replicate last weeks effort. The Vikings are on a much different tier than the Texans in terms of defense, but it’s their offense that has surprised more people this year with Case Keenum at QB. Still I think the Rams are on another level right now that is hard to match, so I see a close win on the road.

Score: Rams 28, Vikings 27

Washington Redskins vs. New Orleans Saints

The Redskins struggled last week to stop the Vikings offense. This week they will be going up against a Saints’ offense who is top 5 in almost every statistical category. They have been relying heavily on their two-headed monster of Mark Ingram and Alvin Kamara. If that doesn’t work, the Redskins will have to try and stop Drew Brees and the Saints passing attack. Have fun, Washington.

Score: Saints 33, Redskins 27

The Saints lead by Mark Ingram and Alvin Kamara ran circles around the Bills last week while the Redskins lost a close one against the Vikings. Once again, the Saints defense has been much better over the last few weeks and should have success this week with Rob Kelley out for Washington. Saints are playing well, don’t see them stopping this week.

Score: Saints 30, Redskins 24

Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Miami Dolphins

Two teams who are playing just bad football. The Bucs will be without Jameis Winston once again, so they will be looking to Ryan Fitzpatrick to lead them to another victory. The advantage for the Bucs is that they will be going up against the worst offense in the league. Can Fitz do just enough like he did last week?

Score: Buccaneers 17, Dolphins 14

Well the Bucs somehow only allowed 10 points against the Jets last week while the Dolphins were wiped out by the Panthers. The tale of two sub-par QBs and two struggling defenses. I’ll give the edge to the Dolphins who haven’t looked as bad in their losses this year, besides that TNF game against Baltimore, and have multiple weapons to throw out on the field. I also trust their defense a little more to get some stops, leading to a win at home.

Score: Dolphins 26, Buccaneers 23

Buffalo Bills vs. Los Angeles Chargers

The Nathan Peterman ERA is underway in Buffalo. After one bad game, Tyrod Taylor has been pulled as the Bills’ starting QB. There is a possibility that the Chargers go into this game without their starting QB, Philip Rivers, as he has concussion symptoms. I’m expecting LeSean McCoy to run all over the last ranked rushing defense in football this week.

Score: Bills 24, Chargers 23

The Bills got humiliated last week and are now staring rookie QB Nate Peterman and faces the Chargers in his first game. There will be growing pains which means good things for the Chargers defense and I think they win this one.

Score: Chargers 23, Bills 17

Cincinnati Bengals vs. Denver Broncos

Wow, the Broncos suck. They have lost 5 straight games after a 3-1 start to the season, and I am expecting a 6th straight loss this week. The Bengals are not much better, but at least they seem to be competing more than the Broncos are.

Score: Bengals 17, Broncos 14

Ugh, another ugly game. Broncos lost big against the Pats last week while the Bengals lost a close one in Tennessee. The Bengals offense outside of A.J. Green isn’t good and the Broncos will take advantage of that. Brock Osweiler does enough to pull away with a win.

Score: Broncos 17 Bengals 14

New England Patriots vs. Oakland Raiders

I was expecting so much more from the Raiders this year, as I’m sure most people were. The Patriots are on fire as they have won five straight games and they do not look like they’re slowing down anytime soon. The Patriots are scoring the 4th most points per game, while the Raiders are giving up the 9th most points per game. Does not look good for Oakland.

Score: Patriots 33, Raiders 27

The Pats are once again firing on all cylinders, while the Raiders are coming off a bye. This game is technically a home game for the Raiders, although it’s being played in Mexico, which should favor the Pats a bit more. The Patriots are just too good so I can picture them dropping this one. Look for Rex Burkhead in DFS to have a big game here.

Score: Patriots 31, Raiders 24

Philadelphia Eagles vs. Dallas Cowboys

Dak Prescott was abused by the Falcons defensive line in last week’s game. He was without LT Tyron Smith and starting RB Ezekiel Elliott and it showed. The Eagles are the best in the league against the run, so Dak is going to have to beat them on his own. The Cowboys also have to stop the second highest scoring offense in the league. It is not looking too well for the Boys.

Score: Eagles 31, Cowboys 20

Eagles are coming off a bye and the best record in the league while the Cowboys got beat pretty bad in Atlanta last week. Dallas is dealing with injuries on the OL and will still be without Ezekiel Elliot due to suspensions. I’m just really digging the way the Eagles have been playing lately and they will show this week against a division rival that they are in fact for real.

Score: Eagles 28, Cowboys 24

Atlanta Falcons vs. Seattle Seahawks

The Falcons dominated a good offensive line last week, and they will be going up against an atrocious offensive line this week. Will we see them dominate the line of scrimmage once again? They will be without star RB Devonta Freeman, but Tevin Coleman should be able to fill his shoes with ease. This is going to be a good Monday Night Football game. Winning in Seattle is no easy task.

Score: Seahawks 23, Falcons 21

Each team grabbed wins last week and are looking to stay in the playoff hunt. Seattle looks to have lost Richard Sherman which is a blow to their secondary, but I think they can still weather the storm. Doug Baldwin should have plenty of success this week as well and any other pass-catchers on the team. Seahawks win on Monday Night.

Score: Seahawks 28, Falcons 23

NFL Week 9 Game Picks

Joe Toscano 68-35
Ismael Diaz 65-38
Nick LoPrinzi 62-41

Buffalo Bills vs. New York Jets

Each week the Bills are looking more and more like contenders, while the Jets are looking more and more like who we thought they were. The Bills just acquired Kelvin Benjamin as well, which will only help them grow. I’m not sure if he plays this week, but either way I expect the Bills to take this one as their defense is too good.

Score: Bills 23, Jets 17

What’s more suprising, the Bills are 5-2 or the Jets are 3-5? Even though it’s on a short week at New York, I like the Bills.

Score: Bills 20, Jets 18

I personally made some tough calls on games last week, and most of them paid off. This week might have some tougher calls too. The Ravens mauled over the Dolphins last week, which I predicted the Ravens to win but not like that and goes to show you the craziness that TNF has sometimes. Bills are trending upwards right now while the Jets are trending the other direction, so naturally this means something out of the ordinary happens right? I see this being close for the Bills on the road and on a short week but they’ll win based on talent, with McCoy leading the way against a bottom 5 run defense in the Jets.

Score: Bills 27, Jets 23

Atlanta Falcons vs. Carolina Panthers

Atlanta barely squeaked out a win against the aforementioned Jets last week. On the other hand, the Panthers straight up dominated the Bucs. Matt Ryan, Julio Jones and the rest of the offense look like a whole different unit this year, which is concerning. Cam Newton has struggled as well and he now has one less weapon to target. He was already with Greg Olsen and now Benjamin is gone too. I just think the Falcons are too good to continue to play like this.

Score: Falcons 23, Panthers 21

Atlanta is too good to be 4-3. Their offense is just getting revved up. Carolina has been inconsistent all year.

Score: Falcons 27, Panthers 20

I did say last week that the road for a Falcons comeback would start against the Jets last week, and although they didn’t look great they still picked up a win. But now here’s a tough one to call as the Panthers are playing fairly well this year. I’m giving the edge here to the Falcons who have played better on the road this year, are starting to get healthy again, and seem hungry to get these divisional wins here. The Panthers on the other hand haven’t been all too great at home and having lost Kelvin Benjamin, not liking their chances here. Falcons win in a close one.

Score: Falcons 28, Panthers 27

Cincinnati Bengals vs. Jacksonville Jaguars

The Jaguars are coming off a bye and they will be getting back Leonard Fournette this week. Fournette has been a monster all year as the Jags have been relying heavily on the run. The Bengals do not have struggled mightily to move the ball this season. I think this will be a low scoring affair.

Score: Jaguars 17, Bengals 13

The Jaguars are becoming a solid team relying defense and running, but can they take the next step and consistently win? The Bengals will be a tough test.

Score: Jaguars 19, Bengals 15

The Jaguars are coming off a bye-week while the Bengals are coming off a close win against the Colts. They didn’t seem to have much trouble putting up points against them, but I think they will have a harder time this week on the road in Jacksonville. The Jags seem just like a good QB away from being a playoff-caliber team, but they’ll have to settle with Blake Bortles until at least the end of the season. They are in good hands though as they have star rookie running back Leonard Fournette, who has had now 2 weeks to help heal his knee injury and should be back. I like the Jags here at home.

Score: Jaguars 28, Bengals 23

Denver Broncos vs. Philadelphia Eagles

Two teams that started off the season great, but two teams heading in opposite directions right now. Are the Eagles the best team in football? They just might be. The Broncos have benched Trevor Siemian and are starting Brock Osweiler. The season is only going to get uglier for them

Score: Eagles 24, Broncos 13

Is Denver being this bad the biggest surprise of the season? Maybe not, but it’s up there.

Score: Eagles 28, Broncos 15

The Broncos QB situation is so bad that they have decided to go back to Brock Osweiler, yes the man who robbed the Texans of millions last year and who was cut by the Browns but was still guaranteed 16M, to start for them. His first start with them this year comes against the Eagles who have the best record in football and is led by leading MVP candidate Carson Wentz. The Chiefs almost put up 30 against the Broncos last week, so I expect the Eagles to get that this week. The Wentz-Ertz connection is unreal right now and should continue into this week. The Eagles defense should be all over Osweiler and they should win by a couple of TDs.

Score: Eagles 30, Broncos 16

New York Giants vs. Los Angeles Rams

Both teams should be fresh coming off a bye. The Giants will be without top cornerback Janoris Jenkins as he has been indefinitely suspended by Ben McAdoo. The Giants were already short-handed all around and their defense has not been very good as of late. They are going to have trouble stopping Todd Gurley, Jared Goff and the rest of this dynamic Rams offense. I cannot believe I just said that ..

Score: Rams 30, Giants 17

Usually I say the west coast team traveling to the east coast will lose, but this is the Giants we’re talking about.

Score: Rams 26, Giants 22

The Rams are looking good mid-way through the season and are fresh off a bye-week to play the dysfunctional Giants. The Giants just lost Janoris “jack-rabbit” Jenkins due to suspension, which should leave guys like Robert Woods and Cooper Kupp to have big games for the Rams. The Giants look to be getting back Sterling Shepard for the first time since he was injured along with OBJ and Brandon Marshall, which should help out Eli Manning a little more. I’m trusting the Rams defense more here and that their play-makers will do their thing on the offensive end.

Score: Rams 29, Giants 19

Indianapolis Colts vs. Houston Texans

Wow, just wow. Deshaun Watson is out for the year with a torn ACL. What a blow for the Texans. He was the mid-way favorite for Rookie of the Year and even had his name in conversation for MVP. The Colts are a bad team and Andrew Luck has been ruled out for the rest of the year as well. I think the Texans still take this one at home, especially since the Colts defense is atrocious.

Score: Texans 27, Colts 20

Joe (Pick Made Before Injury)

Everyone knew Deshaun Watson would be this good this early right? Right?

Score: Texans 30, Colts 14

Ismael (Pick Made Before Injury)

This might get into college football type of back and forth scoring, as this match-up is rated 3rd by Vegas for most combined points potentially scored.  Both these teams had shoot-outs last week, but I think the Texans D will clamp down on the Colts’ more inferior offense and will create multiple turnovers out of it. Deshaun Watson will again have a monster game and it should be expected now that Will Fuller will probably have multiple TDs.

Score: Texans 41, Colts 20

Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. New Orleans Saints

The Bucs have been a huge disappointment this season, while the Saints are getting hot. Do the Bucs have a chance to beat the Saints on the road this week? I say NO.

Score: Saints 31, Buccaneers 23

Everyone knew the Saints defense would be this good, right? Right?

Score: Saints 28, Buccaneers 17

I find myself saying this more than I usually do when I come across a match-up involving the Saints, but this could be either a really close game or a straight blowout. 13 points might not be a blowout to some, but just how the game feels for the most part will make it seem that way. The Bucs have been teetering the last few weeks while the Saints continues to be one of the hottest teams in football. I like the Saints by double digits because of all the weapons they have on offense to go against a weak Tampa bay defense. I’m looking for Ted Ginn and Alvin Kamara to have big games.

Score: Saints 37, Buccaneers 24

Baltimore Ravens vs. Tennessee Titans

The Ravens are the Jekyll and Hyde of the NFL this year. They go from shutting out opponents to giving up 40 points to the Jaguars. Who is going to show up this week? The Titans are coming off a bye, which means Marcus Mariota had plenty of time to heal up. I think the Titans being at home and the Ravens lack of offense will be the factor.

Score: Titans 20, Ravens 17

Joe Flacco may or may not play in this game, but going into Tennessee against a Titans team coming off a bye won’t be easy.

Score: Titans 24, Ravens 20

I believe this one is a toss-up. On one hand you have the Ravens who destroyed the Dolphins at home last Thursday but had Joe Flacco exit with a concussion after being laid out inexplicably by Kiko Alonso. Word is that he cleared concussion protocol and should play Sunday. On the other hand you have the Titans who are fresh off a bye but just hasn’t seemed to click yet. Marcus Mariota hasn’t exacting shined against back to back good match-ups in the Colts and the Browns and has to face a tough Ravens D. Although they put up 40 last week, I don’t see them putting up anywhere close to that amount since they have shown the ability to get really cold on offense especially on the road. I see this low-scoring affair going to the home team.

Score: Titans 24, Ravens 21

Washington Redskins vs. Seattle Seahawks

Seattle is hoping they solved their offensive line woes with the acquiring of veteran LT Duane Brown. The Seahawks offense lit up the scoreboard last week at home against the Texans. They are at home once again and the Redskins are all banged up. Do the Redskins even have a go to receiver? Terrelle Pryor has been a huge disappointment this year and Jordan Reed cannot stay on the field.

Score: Seahawks 31, Redskins 24

Not only is an east coast team playing on the west coast, it’s in Seattle. Not good for the Redskins.

Score: Seahawks 33, Redskins 22

The Redskins stunk it up last week against the Cowboys while the Seahawks won in a shoot-out against the Texans at home last week. The Seattle defense did not look that great last week, but should settle down for a better game this week. I like Kirk Cousins as good QB in this league, but coming off a poor performance last week and going up against the legion of boom, not liking his chances to bounce back. Seahawks grab a win here at home.

Score: Seahawks 30, Redskins 24

Arizona Cardinals vs. San Francisco 49ers

Does Jimmy Garoppolo start for the 49ers this week? I sure hope so. However, I think the 49ers get their first win of the season either way. The Cardinals will be without two of their three offensive stars (Carson Palmer and David Johnson) and I do not believe Drew Stanton can get it done for them. Their defensive has not been what is expected of them and I think traveling to San Fran will be the deciding factor.

Score: 49ers 27, Cardinals 24

Finally the 49ers get a win! Yes, Drew Stanton is that bad.

Score: 49ers 21, Cardinals 12

This might be the only chance for the Niners to win a game this year, at home against Drew Stanton and the Cardinals. The Niners made a big move this week, acquiring Jimmy Garrapolo for a 2nd round pick. He won’t be ready to go for them this week, but I’d expect him to start in the near future. The Niners might need to rely on the run game in this one, with having their QB and Pierre Garcon having to fend off Patrick Peterson which isn’t an easy thing to do. The Niners still have an awful run defense, which should mean Adrian Peterson runs circles around them. That and with their defense being better gives me a reason to pick the Cardinals to win in a very tight match-up.

Score: Cardinals 23, 49ers 20

Kansas City Chiefs vs. Dallas Cowboys

Ezekiel Elliott is finally suspended .. I think .. That whole situation is confusing, but for now he will be missing this game. Alfred Morris and Darren McFadden will look to pick up the slack. However, the real question is, can the Cowboys stop the Chiefs offense? I say no way. Alex Smith has yet to throw an interception, Kareem Hunt is leading the league in rush and Travis Kelce is as consistent as they come.

Score: Chiefs 34, Cowboys 23

The big question is how will the Cowboys do without Ezekiel Elliott. I’m guessing not good.

Score: Chiefs 28, Cowboys 24

Both teams won last week against teams in their division, but travel to this game in “Jerry-World”. The Cowboys haven’t exactly been that great playing at home and the Chiefs have been quite stellar on the road this season. I expect this to be a great back and forth, but in the end the Chiefs still have Kareem Hunt while the Cowboys are expected to be without Zeke until December due to suspension. I’m liking the Chiefs blend of offense and defense this week.

Score: Chiefs 30, Cowboys 27

Oakland Raiders vs. Miami Dolphins

This game is just filled with question marks. Will Jay Cutler play? Who will replace Jay Ajayi? Is Derek Carr still hurt? Can Marshawn Lynch give this offense some life? Will Amari Cooper become the superstar that he is capable of becoming? Will either defense step up?

Score: Raiders 23, Dolphins 20

Before the season I picked the Raiders to be in the AFC Championship game. Oops! They’re a bigger disappointment than the Broncos.

Score: Dolphins 29, Raiders 23

Both these teams made the playoffs as the wild card team a season ago, which made it seem before the season started that it be a good idea to showcase two up-and-coming teams on Sunday Night Football. Things have changed since then as both teams seemed to have dug themselves in holes this year. The Dolphins might’ve pulled one of the most questionable trades in recent memory, trading pro-bowl RB Jay Ajayi to the Eagles for just a 4th round pick in next year’s draft. What the hell, right? So now it’s basically just Jarvis Landry and a wounded DeVante Parker to go out there and score some points for them. Luckily they play a sub-par Raiders defense, so someone like Kenyan Drake who’ll get more work this week might have a bigger game. I’m going with the more talented team in the Raiders here on Sunday Night.

Score: Raiders 26, Dolphins 20

Detroit Lions vs. Green Bay Packers

This game would be so much more fun if Aaron Rodgers were playing. The Lions have not been playing well, but they have a chance to bounce back against a Rodgers-less Packers team. Matthew Stafford is starting to catch fire as of late as he has thrown for 312 yards and then 423 yards in his last two games respectively. I think he has a huge game against a weak Packers defense.

Score: Lions 31, Packers 27

The biggest question is whether Brett Hundley is a legit NFL quarterback. I’m guessing no, plus the Lions came close to beating the Steelers.

Score: Lions 23, Packers 13

The Lions are coming off a lost against the Steelers where they stifled Le’Veon Bell and Antonio Brown for the most part but gave up a monster game to WR Juju Smith-Schuster in the process. Packers are in dire straits right now without Aaron Rodgers, so I’m not expecting much out of them this week even at home against the Lions. The Lions offense still seems a bit out of sync, but should get on track starting this week. Lions leave Lambeau with a victory on Monday Night.

Week 6 NFL Score Predictions

Ismael Diaz 37-24
Joe Toscano 36-25
Nick LoPrinzi 34-27

Philadelphia Eagles vs. Carolina Panthers

Nick LoPrinzi

If you asked me at the beginning of the season, I would have never guessed these two teams would both be 4-1. Cam Newton is starting to hit his stride as he has completed 40 of his 62 passes for 671 yards and 6 touchdowns. However, Carson Wentz is just as hot as he tore apart a very good Cardinals pass defense last week as he completed 21 of his 30 pass attempts for 304 yards and 4 touchdowns. Carolina’s defense is top-notch, but I think it is going to have its hands full with Philly’s dynamic offense. Carolina is the favorite at home, but I think Philly takes this one because of the weapons they have around Wentz on that offense.

Score: Eagles 27, Panthers 24

Joe Toscano

Is Cam Newton back? Sure looks like it. Carson Wentz looks even better than his rookie year. But it is in Carolina, on a short week, and that gives the Panthers the edge.

Score: Panthers 27, Eagles 19

Ismael Diaz

So 3 straight weeks of unpredictable results, who could’ve predicted that? Not me, so I’ll tread accordingly. The Panthers have looked really good the past couple of weeks and have bounced back from that loss at home against the Saints. The Eagles have been flying high all season, lead by QB Carson Wentz. Cam Newton has looked better the past couple of weeks and he gets to face a thin Eagles secondary. I see him and guys like Devin Funchess and Christian McCaffrey to lead them to a Thursday Night victory.

Score: Panthers 28, Eagles 24

Miami Dolphins vs. Atlanta Falcons

Nick LoPrinzi

The Falcons are coming off a much needed bye week since Julio Jones and Mohamed Sanu were injured the week before. Jones looks ready to play this week, but Sanu looks like he will be out. However, Taylor Gabriel should slide right into Sanu’s well and Austin Hooper should step it up as well. The Dolphins barely squeaked out a win last week against a Mariota-less Titans team. They only scored 16 points against a defense that is 30th in the league in points allowed per game. Not a good sign.

Score: Falcons 23, Dolphins 10

Joe Toscano

The Dolphins have issues on and off the field and they face an Atlanta team coming off a bye. The Falcons offense was supposed to be the best, but hasn’t been close to that so far. I’m guessing they’ve used the bye week to fix those problems.

Score: Falcons 45, Dolphins 27

Ismael Diaz

The Dolphins’ offense just looks ugly and have almost no sense of direction. The Falcons last game was a loss against the Bills at home. The differences between these two offenses is just enough to tell who wins this game, with the Falcons supporting more consistently good weapons.

Score: Falcons 28, Dolphins 20

Chicago Bears vs. Baltimore Ravens

Nick LoPrinzi

Mitch Trubisky struggled in his first career starting against the Vikings and it does not get any easier this week. The Ravens have a top-10 pass defense and they are playing in Baltimore. I think this game comes down to the run game. Both are top 12 in the league in rushing yards per game, but the Bears have the better two-headed monster with Jordan Howard and Tarik Cohen. However, the Ravens are going to sell out to stop the run and force Trubisky to beat them. I think he isn’t ready to beat a defense like this all by himself just yet.

Score: Ravens 18, Bears 13

Joe Toscano

A rookie quarterback in his first road start against the Ravens? Good luck Mitchell Trubisky!

Score: Ravens 30, Bears 10

Ismael Diaz

The Ravens surprised me a bit last week, playing well enough on both sides to beat the Derek Carr-less Raiders. Mitchell Trubisky made his debut on Monday Night and looked okay, some obvious positives and negatives. The Ravens have the formula to get to a young QB and I think they will here. I expect Javorius Allen to have a big game on the ground for the Ravens this week.

Score: Ravens 26, Bears 17

Cleveland Browns vs. Houston Texans

Nick LoPrinzi

The Browns are a really bad team. DeShone Kizer was benched last week and Kevin Hogan took over for him. Hogan was awarded with the start this week. Either way, they are in trouble on the offensive end right now. The Texans lost J.J. Watt and Whitney Mercilus to season ending injuries last week. However, their offense, led by Deshaun Watson, is clicking on all cylinders right now and the Browns will not be able to stop it.

Score: Texans 34, Browns 17

Joe Toscano

Eventually the Browns will win a game this season. Just not this game.

Score: Texans 39, Browns 21

Ismael Diaz

DeShone Kizer has not worked out well for the Browns, but Deshaun Watson has been very good at QB for the Texans. Kevin Hogan has taken over for Kizer, but it’s not much of an upgrade. The Texans offense is on fire and they’ll continue it in Week 6 and their defense will do enough to keep the Browns from scoring much. Texans win big at home.

Score: Texans 31, Browns 13

Green Bay Packers vs. Minnesota Vikings

Nick LoPrinzi

It looks like Case Keenum will start this week as Sam Bradford was not seen at practice to begin the week. The Packers defense has not been very good this year and I think this game will be much closer than expected. The Vikings have done a great job at stopping the run this year, but they are struggling a bit against the pass as they are 20th in the league in passing yards allowed per game. That does not bode well when facing Aaron Rodgers.

Score: Packers 24, Vikings 20

Joe Toscano

Green Bay always has problems in Minnesota and they’re coming off a huge win in Dallas. I see a letdown.

Score: Vikings 26, Packers 23

Ismael Diaz

Packers won in “Jerry World” like I predicted, with Rodgers leading them to a last minute victory. The Vikings had Sam Bradford leave early on Monday Night, but they still ended up beating the Bears. Packers are rolling right now and I don’t see them stopping anytime soon. They possibly could have Ty Montgomery in full force, with Aaron Jones who had a big week right there to come in if needed. The Vikings will make it close late, but the Packers win game 1 of this pivotal division match-up.

Score: Packers 27, Vikings 24

Detroit Lions vs. New Orleans Saints

Nick LoPrinzi

The Saints are well rested coming off a bye week, while the Lions fought hard in a loss against the Panthers and Matthew Stafford got banged up a bit. However, it seems as if he will play this week. This game will be one of the highest scoring games of the week with both teams being in the top 12 in points scored per game. The Lions have a very good run defense, so the Saints will rely heavily on Drew Brees to win this game, which they usually do. The Saints are a hard team to beat in New Orleans and Stafford has not been himself yet this year.

Score: Saints 30, Lions 27

Joe Toscano

Is the Saints defense good enough to stop the Lions, or anybody? I don’t think so.

Score: Lions 35, Saints 32

Ismael Diaz

Good ole-fashioned shootout right here. The Lions lost a tough one against the Panthers while the Saints had a bye week after shutting down the Dolphins in London. This by no means make me trust the Saints defense and I think Matthew Stafford will throw all over the field here. I think with the help of Alvin Kamara, the Saints will keep this close but will come up short at home.

Score: Lions 31, Saints 27

New England Patriots vs. New York Jets

Nick LoPrinzi

A battle for first place in the AFC East! Yes, you read the right. It is 2017 and the Jets and Patriots are fighting for first place. Tom Brady has a bit of a shoulder injury, but he is downplaying it like it is nothing serious and I am taking his word on it. Since the week one embarrassment against the Chiefs, Brady has failed to throw for less than 300 yards in a game and has only thrown one interception over that time period. The Jets defense is not very good this year, but neither is the Pats. However, the Jets will be without Matt Forte and Bilal Powell this week. I think this is the week both teams come back to reality.

Score: Patriots 35, Jets 20

Joe Toscano

Okay Jets, you had your fun. Both teams are 3-2, but there’s no way New England loses this, even in New York.

Score: Patriots 49, Jets 22

Ismael Diaz

The Pats defense looked better last week and face a team with some injuries at the RB position, a position that they have had trouble with all season. This looks like a trap game for the Pats as they face the division leading Jets on the road, but I believe Brady will lead them to a win.

Score: Patriots 27, Jets 21

San Francisco 49ers vs. Washington Redskins

Nick LoPrinzi

The 49ers have really struggled to score points this year, while the Redskins are coming off an early season bye week. The Redskins defense has been much better than expected and the offense is rolling like we thought they would. Will Pierre Garcon come back to haunt the Redskins this week? Doubt it. The Redskins should win this one quite easily.

Score: Redskins 24, 49ers 13

Joe Toscano

Do West Coast teams play poorly when playing a game on the East Coast? Maybe that’s a myth, but maybe it’s not.

Score: Redskins 37, 49ers 33

Ismael Diaz

The 49ers won a close game against the Colts last week in OT, while the Redskins had a bye week. Kirk Cousins looks to be catching fire and connecting better with his offense. Then you have Chris Thompson who is getting it done on the ground and through the air, so he should have a big game here. Redskins are just the better team here and along with playing at home, think they win by double digits.

Score: Redskins 30, 49ers 20

Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Arizona Cardinals

Nick LoPrinzi

Both teams are underachieving to start the year, but at least the Cardinals have an excuse since they lost David Johnson in the first game of the season. Has Adrian Peterson come to be the savior? We shall see. The Cardinals are dead last in the league in rushing and Peterson fits their scheme much better than he fit the Saints’ scheme. The Cardinals struggled to slow down Carson Wentz last week and Jameis Winston will not be much easier. The good thing for the Cardinals is that Winston turns the ball over much more than Wentz. I think that will be the downfall for the Bucs this week.

Score: Cardinals 23, Buccaneers 21

Joe Toscano

I have a feeling Adrian Peterson joining the Cardinals is going to be huge for the Cardinals.

Score: Cardinals 34, Bucs 30

Ismael Diaz

I think this will be the closest game this week. The Cardinals recently traded for Adrian Peterson, but I don’t see him doing much in Arizona with a not so great offensive line. While Mike Evans will be smothered by Patrick Peterson, I see Jameis Winston using DeSean Jackson and Cameron Brate to his advantage this week, giving the Bucs a win in Arizona.

Score: Buccaneers 23, Cardinals 21

Los Angeles Rams vs. Jacksonville Jaguars

Nick LoPrinzi

The Jaguars made a huge statement last week when they dominated the Steelers in Pittsburgh. They picked out Ben Roethlisberger 5 times! The Jags have struggled to stop the run and the Steelers did not feed Le’Veon Bell enough last week against them. I think the Rams will take that into consideration and give Todd Gurley a big work load this week. The Jags defense and rushing attack with Leonard Fournette are very good, but their passing attack is questionable. Blake Bortles is not the answer at QB for the Jags and having Allen Robinson out for the year does not help at all. I think this is another game that will come down to which running back will have the better game. I think that battle will go to Gurley.

Score: Rams 27, Jaguars 23

Joe Toscano

The Jaguars are coming off a huge win against the Steelers and I’m thinking they’re in for a huge letdown.

Score: Rams 19, Jaguars 15

Ismael Diaz

A couple of rising defenses face-off this week, leaving Week 5 with different results. The Jags forced Big Ben to throw 5 interceptions at home in a big win, while the Rams lost a close one at home against the Seahawks. I think the Jaguars are good enough defensively to stop some of the play-makers the Rams have, giving them a win at home.

Score: Jaguars 27, Rams 23

Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Kansas City Chiefs

Nick LoPrinzi

The Steelers have been Jekyll and Hyde so far this season. They have played great games against the Vikings and Ravens, but have looked atrocious against the Bears and Jaguars. Which team will show up in Kansas City this week? The Chiefs defense has been giving up a lot of yards and points so far this year. On the other hand, the Steelers defense, at least the pass defense, has been phenomenal. I’m just not sure if they will be able to stop one of the best offenses in the league. The Chiefs are top 10 in almost every offensive category and they are scoring the most points per game. Alex Smith is having a career year, while Kareem Hunt has yet to be stopped.

Score: Chiefs 24, Steelers 21

Joe Toscano

Things couldn’t be worse for the Steelers – Ben Roethlisberger looks horrible, the defense is bad against the run and they just lost to the Jaguars at home. The Chiefs aren’t going 16-0. I’m predicting a big bounceback.

Score: Steelers 26, Chiefs 16

Ismael Diaz

The Chiefs continue to beat good teams while the Steelers continue to look inconsistent. Alex Smith has had a really good season and I don’t see him stopping here at home. The Chiefs win a low-scoring game at home.

Los Angeles Chargers vs. Oakland Raiders

Nick LoPrinzi

The Chargers did it! They got their first win of the season against an extremely depleted Giants team. However, a win is a win. Before last week’s game, Melvin Gordon was not happy with his workload, but he received a hefty one against the Giants and produced. He rushed for 105 yards on 20 attempts and added 6 receptions for 58 yards and two touchdowns. The Raiders have not been very good against the run, but none of that will matter if Derek Carr does not play. If EJ Manuel plays, the Raiders will not win. However, I think Carr returns this week and the Raiders get a much needed jolt.

Score: Raiders 21, Chargers 20

Joe Toscano

The Raiders aren’t the same without Derek Carr. This will be a great game.

Score: Chargers 36, Raiders 34

Ismael Diaz

If Derek Carr is back for this game, I see them putting up 30 against the Chargers. The Chargers offense, mainly Melvin Gordon, looked good against the Giants which earned them a win. I just can’t see them stopping the Raiders offense, whether through the air or on the ground with beast-mode.

Score: Raiders 30, Chargers 24

New York Giants vs. Denver Broncos

Nick LoPrinzi

The Giants will be without Odell Beckham, Brandon Marshall and Dwayne Harris for the rest of the year. On top of that, there is a good chance that Sterling Shepard misses this week’s game against the Broncos. The Giants wide receiver for this week’s game will be: Roger Lewis, Tavarres King and Travis Rudolph. UGLY. The Giants are falling to 0-6 this week as they travel to Denver to play a really good Broncos team.

Score: Broncos 24, Giants 10

Remember when many predicted New York would go 0-16? They were talking about the Jets, but it might happen to the Giants.

Score: Broncos 31, Giants 18

The Giants lost OBJ and Brandon Marshall in just one week and have Sterling Shepard still questionable for Sunday Night. So they’ll have to rely on Evan Engram, Wayne Gallman, and Roger Lewis against the vaunted Broncos defense. This whole Giants squad is just so dysfunctional at the moment and I can’t see them using it to their advantage on the road against the Broncos.

Score: Broncos 23, Giants 16

Indianapolis Colts vs. Tennessee Titans

Nick LoPrinzi

Marcus Mariota is working hard to play on Monday night, but it does not sound like it is going to happen. So I am going with the fact that Matt Cassel will be starting in his place. The Colts are better against the rush than they are the pass, therefore, Mariota being out is huge for them. The Titans are in the same boat, but Jacoby Brissett has proven that he can put up good numbers against a soft defense. I think without Mariota, the Titans are in trouble.

Score: Colts 30, Titans 27

Joe Toscano

Marcus Mariota should be back + the Titans at home = big win for the Titans.

Score: Titans 30, Colts 22

Ismael Diaz
I see this being a close game if both Andrew Luck and Marcus Mariota play, which should bring along a great match-up between 2 young QBs. The Titans just have a better defense and I think they’ll air it out against that shaky Colts defense. Titans win in a close one on Monday Night.

Week 5 NFL Game Predictions

Ismael Diaz 30-17
Nick LoPrinzi 27-20
Joe Toscano 27-20

New England Patriots vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Nick LoPrinzi

The highest Vegas total on the week goes to this game. The Patriots will be involved in a shootout, yet again. They have the #1 offense, but the #32 defense. Tom Brady is playing like an MVP, but he needs his defense to step it up. The Buccaneers are getting Doug Martin back this week, after he missed the first three weeks due to suspension. The Patriots will have a tough time stopping Mike Evans, while the Bucs will not stop Rob Gronkowski. However, Brady is the x-factor.

Score: Patriots 35, Buccaneers 30

Joe Toscano

Yes, the Patriots are struggling and are on the road on a short week. But, I can’t see them going under .500.

Score: Patriots 35, Buccaneers 28

Ismael Diaz

Another week filled by surprising results, one being the Pats losing at home against the Panthers.  The Bucs however squeaked by win a 2 point win against the Giants. This could possibly be another week full of upsets and close games. The Pats defense have been absolutely been atrocious, surrendering over 300+ passing yards in each of their first 4 games. I see them turning a page here, maybe still allowing 300+ passing yards, but not letting them score at will like they have been lately. It’ll be close, but Brady will find a way to expose that young secondary of the Bucs and will grab a win in Tampa.

Score: Patriots 30, Buccaneers 27

Buffalo Bills vs. Cincinnati Bengals

Nick LoPrinzi

The Bills are coming off a very impressive win against the Atlanta Falcons last week. The Bills are allowing the least amount of points per game, while the Bengals are not far behind as they are allowing the 3rd least amount of points per game. Safe to say this is going to be a low scoring affair. The Key for both teams is going to be their rushing attacks. Jeremy Hill, Joe Mixon and Giovani Bernard have not looked very good for the Bengals. LeSean McCoy has not looked great either, but he is the more talented back.

Score: Bills 17, Bengals 13

I’m not buying that the Bills are an elite team. The Bengals are not so great either, but they are at home.

Score: Bengals 23, Bills 19

Bills pulled out another upset, this time beating the Falcons in Atlanta. The Bengals are heading into the right direction in terms of their offense, but it hasn’t been much to talk about. I see LeSean McCoy having a big game here for the Bills, helping the Bills get a win in Cincy.

Score: Bills 27, Bengals 24

New York Jets vs. Cleveland Browns

Nick LoPrinzi

Talk about an ugly game. Both offenses are scoring less than 20 points per game, but both defenses are giving up at least 23 points per game. The Jets had a dynamic rushing attack last week with Bilal Powell and Elijah McGuire. These two combined for 256 rushing yards, 75 receiving yards, 6 receptions and two touchdowns. However, the Browns are 8th in the league in rushing yards allowed per game and even though the Jets have been dreadful against the run, the Browns cannot run the ball. Therefore, I think this game will come down to quarterback play. I cannot believe I’m saying this, but I trust Josh McCown more than DeShone Kizer. Kizer has already thrown 8 interceptions and the Jets are 7th in the league in passing yards allowed.

Score: Jets 23, Browns 18

Joe Toscano

I thought this would be a battle of winless teams. One of them actually has hope.

Score: Jets 21, Browns 17

Anyone expect the Jets to beat the Jaguars last week after what the Jags did a week before against the Ravens in London? I sure didn’t, but I expect the Browns to lose against the Bengals last week. Can the Browns get their first win at home against the Jets? I’ll say no. I think the Jets run all over the Browns D and will stifle Kizer enough to slow them down. Jets win this one.

Score: Jets 28, Browns 23

Carolina Panthers vs. Detroit Lions

Nick LoPrinzi

I am not fully sold on Cam Newton‘s ability this year. He had a great game against the Patriots, but their defense has looked horrendous. Matthew Stafford has not performed up to his ability yet either, but the Lions look like the real deal as a whole. Ameer Abdullah finally came alive with 20 carries for 94 yards and a touchdown last week against a very good Vikings defense. The pass defense needs to improve for the Lions, but they have been very good against the run. Playing in Detroit gives the Lions the advantage.

Score: Lions 17, Panthers 13

Are the Panthers back? Maybe, maybe not. I’m not buying that the Lions are an elite team.

Score: Panthers 21, Lions 20

Ismael Diaz

Lions scored just 14 points last week and still managed to beat the Vikings on the road. Their defense seems to be more tougher than I anticipated, although still having some flaws. Cam Newton had a break-out game last week, think we see a small percentage of that in a losing effort. I’ll take Stafford and the Lions here.

Score: Lions 30, Panthers 23

San Francisco 49ers vs. Indianapolis Colts

Nick LoPrinzi

I said the Jets and Browns game will be ugly, but this will be the ugliest game of the week. Two teams who are just playing atrocious football. Both teams are towards the end of the league in every offensive category. The difference for the two is their defense. The Colts are real, real bad on the defensive end. The 49ers are right in the middle of the pack on the defensive side of the ball. Carlos Hyde will have a huge game if he suits up Sunday and Brian Hoyer will be serviceable enough to get the job done.

Score: 49ers 28, Colts 20

Joe Toscano

Both teams are just awful. The Colts have the edge because they’re at home.

Score: Colts 25, 49ers 19

Ismael Diaz
The Niners lost a close one in OT against the Cardinals and have lost the last 3 games by a combined 9 points. The Colts, on the other hand, got mauled on the road against the Seahawks on Sunday night football. I just don’t trust the niners defense against the few weapons the Colts have, including Frank Gore and T.Y. Hilton. Jacoby Brissett should easily get down the field and give them a chance to put up some points, leading to a win at home.

Score: Colts 26, 49ers 21

Tennessee Titans vs. Miami Dolphins

Nick LoPrinzi

Will Marcus Mariota play? That will be a huge factor. The Dolphins scored 6 points against the Jets, then got shutout by the Saints! Jay Cutler looks like he just robbed money from the Dolphins and Jay Ajayi looks like he has lost his magic from last year, or he may be hurt. The Titans defense has been atrocious. They are allowing 31.5 points per game! However, the Dolphins offense has been just as bad as they are only scoring 8.3 points per game. Oh boy. This is going to come down to Titans offense vs. Dolphins defense. I think Mariota will play and lead his team to victory.

Score: Titans 20, Dolphins 17

Joe Toscano

It won’t help the Titans that Marcus Mariota probaby won’t start. The Dolphins can’t be as bad as they’ve looked so far.

Score: Dolphins 28, Titans 13

Ismael Diaz

Both the Titans and the Dolphins left Week 4 very unhappy with the results, with the Titans being man-handled by the Texans in Houston and the Dolphins getting shut-out by the Saints in London. I honestly don’t know which of those were more shocking. The Miami offense looks out of sync and have almost no rhythm and I think the Titans take advantage of that. I still see it ending in a close one, Mariota has his way in this game.

Score: Titans 28, Dolphins 20

Los Angeles Chargers vs. New York Giants

Nick LoPrinzi

Well, I was wrong that both of these teams were not going to fall to 0-4. However, they play each other this week and someone has to win … Right? Eli Manning has actually played very well over the past two games. He has thrown for 654 yards and 5 touchdowns over those past two games. However, the drops between both Brandon Marshall and Odell Beckham have not been helping. Neither team can run the ball, but neither team can defend the run. This is going to be another ugly game for these teams, but I think the Giants being on their home turf gives them the advantage.

Score: Giants 24, Chargers 23

Joe Toscano

The Dumpster Fire Bowl. Giants finally win a game.

Score: Giants 31, Chargers 23

Ismael Diaz

A battle between two winless teams, who both are not your typical winless teams considering some of the talent they have. Giants lost another close one last week after fighting to stay in it. They go on to face another team with a struggling secondary, which is good for OBJ and company. I see the Chargers putting up a fight, but will end up losing by a TD.

Score: Giants 31, Chargers 24

Arizona Cardinals vs. Philadelphia Eagles

Nick LoPrinzi

The Cardinals were lucky to squeak a win out last week against a bad 49ers team, while the Eagles are looking like one of the best teams in the NFC. After struggling to run the ball in their first two games, the Eagles have found a rushing attack with Wendell Smallwood and LeGarrette Blount and they now have the third most rushing yards per game. However, they cannot stop the pass and all the Cardinals offense can do is throw the ball. I think Carson Palmer is in for a big game and Arizona’s defense is good enough to shut down the Eagles well balanced attack.

Score: Cardinals 27, Eagles 24

Joe Toscano

I don’t buy that the Eagles are an elite team, but they are at home and Arizona has a long way to travel.

Score: Eagles 30, Cardinals 14

Ismael Diaz

The Eagles have been playing some good football this season, their only loss coming from the Chiefs on the road. The Cardinals just don’t have it this year and wins will be hard to come by. I can see the Eagles defense keeping the Cards under 20 points, paving the way for their offense to have enough time to put up over 30.

Score: Eagles 31, Cardinals 17

Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Pittsburgh Steelers

Nick LoPrinzi

The Steelers started to look like the team we have all been waiting for last week. They dominated their division rivals, the Baltimore Ravens. Le’Veon Bell rushed 35 times for 144 yards and two touch downs. On top of that, he added 4 receptions for 42 yards. The defense forced Joe Flacco to throw two interceptions, while forcing three fumbles all together. They only let the Ravens score 9 points. The Jaguars looked bad as they lost to the Jets in overtime. Blake Bortles looked horrible and they could not stop the run game at all, letting up big play after big play. The only bright spot for them was rookie running back, Leonard Fournette. Good luck trying to stop Bell this week, Jaguars.

Score: Steelers 30, Jaguars 20

Joe Toscano

The Jaguars look impressive so far, but they’re going to Pittsburgh and the Steelers are close to firing on all cylinders.

Score: Steelers 28, Jaguars 17

Ismael Diaz

Roethlisberger + Heinz field usually equals good news for Steelers fans as he typically plays a lot better there. Le’Veon Bell looked like him old-self again and had a tremendous game. I see Big Ben and Bell both having big games, even playing that tough Jaguars defense.

Score: Steelers 30, Jaguars 20

Seattle Seahawks vs. Los Angeles Rams

Nick LoPrinzi

I think this is going to be one of the best games this Sunday. Who would have though that at the beginning of the year? The Seahawks were losing to the Colts, 15-10, at halftime last week. However, they put up 38 points in the second half en route to an easy win. Russell Wilson scored three touchdowns in the second half, two passing and one rushing. If they start slow in the first half against the Rams, this game might be over quick. The Rams are easily an all around better team than the Colts and they are coming off an impressive win over the Cowboys in Dallas. Todd Gurley is looking unstoppable right now. He already has 7 total touchdowns and 626 total yards on the year. His biggest problem has been his 4 fumbles, he has to fix that if he wants to be the complete package. This is going to be a tight one in LA. I think Seattle’s tough D gives them the slight edge.

Score: Seahawks 20, Rams 17

Joe Toscano

There are a number of teams that are a suprise at 3-1. I don’t think the Rams can win this even though they’re at home.

Score: Seahawks 24, Rams 20

Ismael Diaz

The Rams and Todd Gurley picked a win against the Cowboys last week, showing how good their offense can be. Seattle wasn’t really tested last week, but they surely will this week when they go to LA. The Rams just have looked better than the Seahawks and typically give them problems when they play them at home. Rams win by a field-goal.

Score: Rams 27, Seahawks 24

Baltimore Ravens vs. Oakland Raiders

Nick LoPrinzi

The loss of Derek Carr is huge for the Raiders. They were already having problems in the passing games as Amari Cooper has had a bad case of the drops, while Michael Crabtree cannot stay on the field. EJ Manuel is bad and Marshawn Lynch has not been impressive at all this year. The Raiders have also been gashed by the run allowing the 24th most rushing yards per game. They will be going up against the Ravens, who have no looked good lately, but they do have the 9th best rushing attack per league in terms of yards per game. I’m not sure if they will be able to stop Alex Collins and Javorius Allen.

Score: Ravens 17, Raiders 14

Joe Toscano

The Ravens have been exposed for having a horrible offense. Even though EJ Manuel is starting for Derek Carr, the Raiders will have no problems with this one.

Score: Raiders 29, Ravens 9

Ismael Diaz

The Raiders took a big blow last night by not only losing for the 2nd straight week, this time on the road against Denver, but they also are losing Derek Carr for 2-4 weeks. They turn to EJ Manuel to help them get a win. The Ravens offense is just a ball of ugliness and I see Manuel putting up enough to win a low-scoring game.

Score: Raiders 20, Ravens 16

Green Bay Packers vs. Dallas Cowboys

Nick LoPrinzi

The Cowboys are beginning to get exposed week after week. Their offensive line is not as dominant as last year and that is their biggest problem. Their defense is not very good, besides Demarcus Lawrence. They are going to have a real tough time stopping Aaron Rodgers, but the Packers will have a tough time stopping Ezekiel Elliott. This game will come down to, who will stop who first. I think the Packers will stack the box and force Dak Prescott to throw it deep, which he will fail to do.

Score: Packers 33, Cowboys 28

Joe Toscano

This should be good. Even though it’s in Dallas, the Cowboys have a lot of problems and they’ll be exposed.

Score: Packers 38, Cowboys 23

Ismael Diaz

Last time the Packers were in “Jerry World”, they pulled off a comeback win in the playoffs to end the Cowboys’ season. I see Rodgers exposing that piss-poor Dallas defense, with the help of Jordy Nelson. It’ll be another great game between these two teams with Green Bay coming out on top.

Score: Packers 30, Cowboys 27

Kansas City Chiefs vs. Houston Texans

Nick LoPrinzi

Will the Chiefs be given their first loss of the year? Can the Texans stop Kareem Hunt? Hunt is averaging a whopping 7.38 yards per carry this year! That is incredible. The Texans defense has been very good this year. As a whole, they were tremendous last week in their dominant victory over the Titans. Can Deshaun Watson match that against the Chiefs this week? I think the Chiefs will force the Texans to use Lamar Miller more and he will struggle against a much better Chiefs defense. The Chiefs stay undefeated.

Score: Chiefs 28, Texans 23

Joe Toscano

Are the Chiefs for real? They’re looking great so far, but they have a short week and are on the road.

Score: Texans 19, Chiefs 17

Ismael Diaz

The Chiefs are the only undefeated team in the NFL right now, and I think they’ll stay that way. Alex Smith is looking better than ever and Kareem Hunt is just a straight beast. Don’t think the Texans have the same success they did last week, and will fall short in this one.

Score: Chiefs 28, Texans 24

Minnesota Vikings vs. Chicago Bears

Nick LoPrinzi

Reports have it that Sam Bradford is back at practice this week. That is a great sign for the Vikings and the extra day should allow Bradford to get back into game action this week. The Vikings have lost Dalvin Cook for the year, which is a huge loss. However, I think Latavius Murray is about to surprise a lot of people. Mitch Trubisky gets his first start against a superb Vikings defense on national TV on Monday Night Football. Tough spot for the rookie to be in in his first game out.

Score: Vikings 24, Bears 17

Joe Toscano

How will the Vikings cope without Dalvin Cook? How will Mitch Trubisky do in his debut? The Vikings defense is tough, but there’s something about a quarterback making his debut.

Score: Bears 24, Vikings 23

Ismael Diaz

The Vikings offense disappeared after they dominated the Bucs the week before and the Bears once again looked awful prompting them to make a QB change. The Vikings lost Dalvin Cook, but still have Latavius Murray who is good enough to start with them. The Vikings D will just not let rookie QB Mitchell Trubisky breathe, forcing him into a few mistakes. Low-scoring game on Monday night goes to Minnesota.

Score: Vikings 21, Bears 14
