Week 7 NFL Score Predictions

Joe Toscano 45-30
Nick LoPrinzi 41-34
Ismael Diaz 41-34

Kanas City Chiefs vs. Oakland Raiders

Nick LoPrinzi

The Chiefs are coming off their first loss of the season last week against the Steelers, while the Raiders need this win to keep their season alive in my opinion. Derek Carr returned last week, but it did not make a difference as the team lost to the Chargers. Oakland’s defense has been bad this year and they’re going to have a tough time stopping Alex Smith, Kareem Hunt and the Chiefs’ offense.

Score: Chiefs 27, Raiders 21

Joe Toscano

The raiders have lost 4 in a row and can’t be that bad. I’m guessing they’ll come back strong against their hated rival.

Score: Raiders 33, Chiefs 25

Ismael Diaz

Once again another topsy-turvy week in the NFL, with the Chiefs losing their first game at home at the hands of the Steelers and the Raiders losing by 1 at home against the Chargers. This seems like a trap game for the Chiefs playing on the road, on a short week, and coming off a loss. But I’ll go with history and overall body of work, as the Chiefs have won 5 straight meetings and are just the better team top to bottom. I expect Kareem Hunt to take the pressure off of Alex Smith’s shoulders and just run the ball straight down Oakland’s throat.

Score: Chiefs 24, Raiders 20

Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Buffalo Bills

Nick LoPrinzi

Will Jameis Winston play or will Ryan Fitzpatrick be under center? The Bills are coming off a bye. Their defense has been much better against the rush than the pass and the Bucs’ strength, if Winston plays, if the pass. I am going to say he misses this week as he has yet to practice this week.

Score: Bills 20, Buccaneers 17

Joe Toscano

Buffalo is rested and Jameis Winston is hurt. Not a good formula for the Bucs.

Score: Bills 21, Buccaneers 9

Ismael Diaz

The Bucs are in a pickle as Jameis Winston left last week’s game with an injury and now face a tough Bills defense with rest coming off a bye week. People saw the two sides of Ryan Fitzpatrick, backup for Tampa, that they were accustomed too and isn’t really a good sign for the team going on the road this week. They let Adrian Peterson run all over them a week ago so I can definitely see LeSean McCoy and the rest of the Bills offense having a big game this week. Whoever the Bucs throw out there at QB this week, they’ll have a hard time putting up points this week and I think the Bills will in fact keep them in check at home.

Score: Bills 30, Buccaneers 23

Carolina Panthers vs. Chicago Bears

Nick LoPrinzi

The Panthers lost a tough one to a very good Eagles team last week, but they are looking pretty solid to start the season. On the other hand, Mitch Trubisky got his first career win in an OT game against the Ravens. However, I think the Panthers are too much to handle for a young QB.

Score: 24, Bears 17

Joe Toscano

I have a feeling Mitch Trubisky is in for a rude awakening.

Score: Panthers 24, Bears 14

Ismael Diaz

The Panthers looked kinda ugly in their loss last Thursday against the Eagles, while Mitchell Trubisky got his first win as a Chicago Bear. I think if the Panthers get a healthy Luke Kuechly and a healthy Thomas Davis out there they will stifle that Bears offense and I think Cam Newton will do his part on the offensive end and lead them to a win on the road.

Score: Panthers 28, Bears 21

Tennessee Titans vs. Cleveland Browns

Nick LoPrinzi

This is an easy one. The Browns are not a very good team and it is looking more and more like there is a real chance they go 0-16. DeShone Kizer will be back under center for them, but it does not really matter. Marcus Mariota avoided a serious hamstring injury and he will be even healthier this week.

Score: Titans 33, Browns 17

Joe Toscano

Cleveland has to win at some point, right? Right??

Score: Browns 21, Titans 20

Ismael Diaz

The Browns were creamed last week against Deshaun Watson and the Texans offense, so I expect more of the same here with a healthier Marcus Mariota. The Browns run defense has actually been pretty decent, having allowed less than 70 yards each game, but their pass defense is still pretty abysmal. I expect all of Tennessee’s pass catchers to have good games here and they should end up on top by double digits.

Score: Titans 33, Browns 20

New Orleans Saints vs. Green Bay Packers

Nick LoPrinzi

Whenever a team’s starting QB goes down it is a problem, but when your QB is Aaron Rodgers it becomes an even bigger problem. Brett Hundley will be replacing Rodgers and he has some big shoes to fill. The Saints defense played great against Matthew Stafford this week and I think it will take Hundley some time to get comfortable.

Score: Saints 30, Packers 20

Joe Toscano

This whole game rests on how Brett Hundley does in his first full game. I’m guessing not well.

Score: Saints 28, Packers 13

Ismael Diaz

The Saints kicked the crap out of the Lions on the road, led by Mark Ingram, while the Packers possibly lost Aaron Rodgers for the whole season with a collarbone injury, handing the spot over to Brett Hundley for the time being. The Saints offense just continues to put points up every week and their defense is playing much better as of late. So Hundley has his hands full in his first test of his 3 year career and I think he keeps them in the game but falls short at home against the red-hot Saints.

Score: Saints 31, Packers 24

Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Indianapolis Colts

Nick LoPrinzi

Andrew Luck faced a set back this week, so once again their starting QB will be Jacoby Brissett. He faces one of the best pass defenses in the league this week in Jacksonville. They have been getting torched by the run this year, but I do not think Frank Gore has enough left in the tank to be a threat.

Score: Jaguars 32, Colts 18

Joe Toscano

I think the Jaguars are legit and their defense will fluster Jacoby Brissett.

Score: Jaguars 24, Colts 17

Ismael Diaz

It seems like it’s a different result for the Jags every week, so having lost last week I think going with them this week would be consistent with how they’ve played this season. Besides that, their defense is quite good and I don’t think they let Jacoby Brissett breathe this week. The Colts also just let up a huge game to Derrick Henry on Monday Night, so Leonard Fournette should bounce back big in this one.

Score: Jaguars 27, Colts 20

Arizona Cardinals vs. Los Angeles Rams

Nick LoPrinzi

The Rams are surprising me every single week. They are much better than I expected. Adrian Peterson had a resurgence last week in his first game as a Cardinal, but will he be able to match that this week? The Rams were torn apart last week by Fournette so it is definitely possible. I think Todd Gurley struggles a bit, but Jared Goff puts the team on his back.

Score: Rams 34, Cardinals 30

Joe Toscano

England games are always crazy and unpredictable. It’s like the Bizzarro world.

Score: Rams 30, Cardinals 27

Ismael Diaz

I completely whiffed on my prediction that AP would not work out in Arizona as he looked like his old self last week against the Bucs. I don’t see him having that much success this week against a tough Rams defense, but I think he’ll be an important component of their offense for the near future. I misjudged the Rams again after I picked them to beat the Seahawks at home 2 weeks ago as they beat the Jaguars on the road last week. They just looked strong again and I see them doing it again this week against Carson Palmer and the Cardinals.

Score: Rams 28, Cardinals 27

New York Jets vs. Miami Dolphins

Nick LoPrinzi

The AFC East is weird this year. The Patriots were supposed to run away with the division, but that has not happened. The Jets lost on a questionable Austin Seferian-Jenkins fumble last week, while the Dolphins upset the Falcons. The Dolphins have won their last two games and have already lost to the Jets this year. They get revenge in this one.

Score: Dolphins 23, Jets 21

Joe Toscano

I don’t think the Jets are legit even though they’re 3-3.

Score: Dolphins 26, Jets 18

Ismael Diaz

The Jets lost a close one at home, not to mention a blown call that prevented them from being only down 3 early in the 4th quarter, while the Dolphins pulled off an upset on the road against the Falcons. With the help of Jay Ajayi‘s 130 yards of rushing, they were able to overcome a 17 point deficit. So good things usually happen when they feed him a ball, and I see them taking that into account this week. I’m liking the direction the Jets offense is going in, but McCown can be sometimes wild and I think they miss Bilal Powell being there to run the ball. The Dolphins haven’t allowed more than 20 points this season, which should count for something although I think that gets broken this week. I’m taking the Dolphins here at home.

Score: Dolphins 27, Jets 24

Baltimore Ravens vs. Minnesota Vikings

Nick LoPrinzi

The Ravens are the most up and down team in the league this year, while Case Keenum has been getting it done for the Vikings. The Vikings are at home, which is a huge advantage for them. The Ravens will struggle to move the ball against a stout defense.

Score: Vikings 17, Ravens 13

Joe Toscano

Baltimore is showing their true colors and the Vikings’ defense will continue to expose a bad Ravens offense.

Score: Vikings 23, Ravens 11

Ismael Diaz

The Ravens lost at home in OT against rookie QB Mitchell Trubisky and the Bears while the Vikings were able to grab a win against the Aaron Rodgers-less Packers. You just don’t know what you are getting from the Ravens offense nowadays and with the Vikings defense, it’ll be even tougher to judge who’ll actually make plays for them. It might be another week without Sam Bradford but Case Keenum is handling the spot well, so I see the Vikings on top in a close one unless he has his occasional awful game.

Score: Vikings 23, Ravens 17

Dallas Cowboys vs. San Francisco 49ers

Nick LoPrinzi

The whole Ezekiel Elliott thing is getting way too confusing for me to understand, but all I know is that he is playing this week. However, with or without him I think the Cowboys would win this game. The 49ers have yet to win a game, but they are not as bad as their 0-6 record. C.J. Beathard saw his first meaningful NFL action last week and struggled to produce.

Score: Cowboys 24, 49ers 21

Joe Toscano

The 49ers have to win at some point right? Right?? Not this week.

Score: Cowboys 28, 49ers 13

Ismael Diaz

The Ezekiel Elliott saga continues as his suspension was reinstated earlier this week, and then he somehow got the chance to prevent it from occurring for at least another week. So this might mean you see the scary Zeke running the football this week, which is awful news for the niners piss-poor run defense. The Niners are rolling with a different QB at the helm and have Carlos Hyde getting his usual work again, but I think the Cowboys are too much for them this week.

Score: Cowboys 31, 49ers 21

Cincinnati Bengals vs. Pittsburgh Steelers

Nick LoPrinzi

The Steelers finally looked like the team that we have all been waiting to see as they took down the undefeated Chiefs. Le’Veon Bell and Antonio Brown put the offense on their backs and produced big time. The Bengals are well rested coming off of a bye, but I do not think they have what it takes to take down the Steelers at home.

Score: Steelers 23, Bengals 17

Joe Toscano

Have the Steelers finally found their footing after beating the undefeated Chiefs in Kansas City? Steelers-Bengals are always brawls and this one will be no different.

Score: Steelers 24, Bengals 22

Ismael Diaz

Bengals are coming off a bye and the Steelers are coming off a win against what once was the only remaining undefeated team in the NFL on the road. Le’Veon Bell had a monster game last week and with the play of Ben Roethlisberger in recent weeks, I think he’ll continue to keep playing at this level. The Steelers looked better last week also, with the return of James Harrison. The Steel Curtain wins this one at home.

Score: Steelers 28, Bengals 24

Denver Broncos vs. Los Angeles Chargers

Nick LoPrinzi

The Broncos looked really bad last week against a depleted Giants team as they gave them their first win. On the other hand, the Chargers are coming off a big win against the Oakland Raiders. Melvin Gordon is getting the ball and producing like a star. However, Denver is pissed after being embarrassed last week and takes it out on the Chargers.

Score: Broncos 24, Chargers 23

Joe Toscano

The Chargers are better than their record, are at home, and Broncos are dealing with injuries. Chargers in an upset.

Score: Chargers 25, Broncos 19

Ismael Diaz

Upset alert! The Chargers are playing much better as of late lead by Melvin Gordon. Denver just allowed a big game to Orleans Darkwa last week, so I expect Gordon to do the same at home. The Chargers win off of a last minute field goal.

Score: Chargers 24, Broncos 21

Seattle Seahawks vs. New York Giants

Nick LoPrinzi

The Giants FINALLY got their first win against the Broncos last week, but no way they beat a Seahawks team coming off a bye. The Seahawks play better at home, but they are too good to lose this game.

Score: Seahawks 23, Giants 17

Joe Toscano

I usually think West Coast teams playing on the East Coast do poorly, but the Giants used all their goodwill in their upset of the Broncos.

Score: Seahawks 35, Giants 15

Ismael Diaz

The Giants shocked the world by getting their first win on the road with a completely depleted offense against a tough Broncos team. I don’t see them repeating that effort this week as they face a tougher offense and a much better QB, but I do see them keeping it close. Seattle takes this one on the road.

Score: Seahawks 27, Giants 23

Atlanta Falcons vs. New England Patriots

Nick LoPrinzi

28-3 LOL. I had to. Both teams have been underperforming this year, but they are too good to stay down this long. I think this turns into a really good game, but the Patriots take this one at home.

Score: Patriots 33, Falcons 28

Joe Toscano

Super Bowl Rematch! Just to be mean to Falcons fans I’ll make the score special.

Score: Patriots 28, Falcons 3

Ismael Diaz

Falcons- 28   Patriots- 34   Score sound familiar? Same result of the Super Bowl where the Falcons blew a 28-3 late 3rd quarter lead, but it doesn’t happen in the same way. This will be a shoot-out of epic proportions with Tom Brady getting the victory at home on Sunday Night football.

Score: Patriots 34, Falcons 28

Washington Redskins vs. Philadelphia Eagles

Nick LoPrinzi

Are the Eagles the best team in the NFL this year? They might be, but I do not see them starting the season 6-1. Division games are always tough and the Redskins have played some good football this year.

Score: Redskins 28, Eagles 27

Joe Toscano

The Eagles are being called the favorite to win the NFC. Something tells me they’ll find a way to screw it up.

Score: Redskins 30, Eagles 27

Ismael Diaz

Redskins- 27   Eagles- 31    The Eagles are red hot while the Redskins’ offense is finally starting to really come together. The Eagles took a close one on the road in Week 1 agains them and I think with the help of Carson Wentz they win a close one at home on Monday Night Football.

Score: Eagles 31, Redskins 27
