The Philadelphia 76ers will be entering the 2017-2018 season looking their best. One of their major goals this season is to be healthy. Last year their top draft pick, Ben Simmons, was side lined for the year with a fracture in his foot. Joel Embiid, the teams centerpiece, was only able to play every other game due to a foot injury that has been an aching injury for him since he was drafted in 2014. This year the team will go into the season with these two players healthy and ready for the “process” to finally arrive. If the Sixers stay healthy, especially these two key players, then they are a true threat in the Eastern Conference this season.
The other big goal for the team is chemistry. The Sixers selected PG Markelle Fultz with the first pick in the year’s draft. They also added free agents J.J. Redick and Amir Johnson to solidify the team. With a mixture of veterans and youth it’s key that the team has some chemistry going into the season. If each player knows about where the other players are on the court, it will be much easier to score points. If the Sixers can achieve this at the beginning of the season, then look out for a dangerous team right out the shoot for the 2017-2018 year.
