TCU Gets Revenge On Arkansas

The Horned Frogs looked good yet again as they beat SEC for, Arkansas, 28-7.

TCU traveled to Fayetteville this week to face the Arkansas Razorbacks. Last year these teams met in Fort Worth and the Razorbacks left with an overtime victory over the Frogs.

This year’s game was a lot different. TCU has improved a lot since last year. Kenny Hill has been working on improving on his tendency to throw interceptions. The offensive line is a lot more mature this year as well.

While TCU normally relies heavily on the passing game, it was the ground game that carried them to victory. Kenny Hill was 21-for-31 passing for 166 yards, no touchdown passes, and threw one interception. He carried the ball 11 times for 35 yards.

TCU ran the ball 42 times compared to throwing it only 31 times. All four touchdowns were on the ground.

Darrius Anderson led the team in rushing as he carried the ball 15 times for 106 yards and one score. Kyle Hicks had 44 yards and a score on 12 carries. Sewo Olonilua had runs of 13 yards and one yard. He only carried the ball twice but both of them resulted in touchdowns.

The defense held Arkansas to 138 yards passing and 129 rushing yards. They only allowed one touchdown and forced one fumble, which TCU recovered.

The Frogs look a lot improved from last year through two games as they’ve only allowed seven points so far this season.

TCU host rival SMU next week in the Battle for the Iron Skillet at 2:30 P.M. on ESPNU.
