The 53 man roster is set and Mariota’s Titans are prepped and ready for the regular season journey.
The preseason wasn’t what everybody would call a success with a few critical injuries to some big names in the Titans program. Tajae Sharpe, Alex Tanney, and Harry Douglas being the major names. Sharpe is indefinitely the biggest name as he has been placed on the season ending IR and will not see any action in 2017. On the other hand, the timing of Douglas’s injury, never a thing you want to see, couldn’t have been at a more ideal time. Even though he was placed on the IR, it isn’t season ending, which means he will see some playing time at some point this season! Some other minor injuries include Corey Davis and new addition Eric Decker alongside Kevin Dodd, which all reports indicate they will all be ready for Week 1 opener against the Oakland Raiders!
The record in the Preseason isn’t exactly what Titan fans were looking for, but the Titans did not play at full strength for one game as injuries throttled them down. The biggest component is Marcus Mariota who is healthy and ready for another successful season at the reigns for the Titans. With the weapons added on offense especially at WR in Davis, a rookie and Decker, a vet. The Titans offense has a slew of weapons all over the field. The backfield is nothing but outstanding in Murray and Henry being the the main names.
The defense is also looking very strong with Kevin Dodd leading the way with newly signed vet David King from the Kansas City Chiefs on the defensive line. Woodward and Orakpo in the heart of the defense. Bringing in the back end of the defense rookie Adoree Jackson was nothing but impressive along with Brice McCain the defense will be strong.
I think I speak for all Titan fans, everybody as well as players and coaches are geared and ready for the Oakland Raiders!
