SEC IAAF World Championships Recap

It is a Track and Field article, which can only mean one thing, we are deep into the summer sports lull. Track and Field, none the less is a sport the SEC dominates at the NCAA stage. As an Arkansan, I know that the Razorback’s 41 combined Men’s Indoor, Outdoor, and Cross Country titles are a huge source of pride for Hog fans. On the Women’s side, LSU is the most dominant program in the nation with a combined 25 national titles. Legends such as Tyson Gay, Justin Gatlin, Lolo Jones, Wallace Spearmon, Aries Merrit, and Veronica Campbell Brown have all donned SEC uniforms. The SEC continued its legacy over the last week at the biggest track meet in the world with a 20 medal performance, highlighted by former Volunteers, Justin Gatlin and Christian Coleman picking up wins over the greatest sprinter of all time, Usain Bolt.
